Studies are required to assess the potential impact of the proposed wind farm.
A number of specialist consultants as well as members of the Wind Prospect team will compile the results of these studies.
Noise measurement period complete : 8th Nov 2009
The noise measurement period is ended. The results of the noise monitoring will be compiled into a report which will be submitted with the planning application.

The noise measurements from various receptors around the site are started.
Noise assessment commissioned : 30th Jun 2009
Our consultant noise experts have been commissioned to assess the potential noise impacts of the wind farm on sensitive receptors in line with guidance provided by ETSU.R.97. The results of this assessment will be submitted along with the planning application when it is lodged.
Landscape and visual impact assessment (LVIA) : 1st Apr 2009
A study has been commissioned to look at the potential landscape and visual impact issues of the proposed wind farm, a report of the LVIA will be submitted with the planning application.
Ecology surveys complete : 31st Mar 2008
Over 12 months of extensive ecology surveys completed, including:
- Birds
- Bats
- Badgers
- Newts
- Hedgerows
Cultural Heritage and Archaelogy Study : 12th Mar 2009
Ecology surveys started : 1st Mar 2007
The ecology surveys start with breeding bird surveys.
